Sheridan College / Drystill prototype

Sheridan SAM


This prototype, located at Sheridan College, Brampton Ontario, features 20 heat pipes 1/2″ in diameter. Studies using this apparatus carried out jointly by Sheridan College and Drystill in 2016 earned a Project of the Year Award from the York chapter of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).

The prototype is still in active service at the college, enriching the education of students as it adds to the PTD body of knowledge.  It is currently being used to explore the de-alcoholization of wine and beer through PTD.
